Background and Education
Priest Prakash hails from Karnataka, India- a southern state/region known for its rich Vedic culture and tradition. He studied Sanskrit and Krishna Yajurveda Moola at Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham (Bangalore), one of the most prestigious religious institutions in India. Additionally, he also passed the Krishna Yajurveda moola exam conducted by the Sanskrit College, Bangalore. After completing his Vedic and Sanskrit education, he served as a Vedic teacher at Maharshi University, New Delhi.
Experience
Priest Prakash has over 25 years of experience performing Hindu rituals and ceremonies- both in India and abroad. After serving as a teacher at the Maharishi University, New Delhi, he moved to Canada in 1996 to serve the Indian community at the Hindu Temple in Ottawa. In 1998, he moved to New York City to serve as one of the main priests at the Flushing Ganesha Temple (one of the largest and oldest Hindu temple in USA). Since 2006, Pdt Prakash has been the head priest at the Manhattan Ganesha Temple.
